Listening to a Metallica song can often feel like you're a giant ball bounding around against the bumpers in a pinball game, so it makes sense that the band would take the next logical step and put their brand on an actual pinball game.

Metallica have revealed a new trailer trailer (seen below) that showcases some of the crafting that's gone into creating their upcoming "Metallica Pinball" game. Not only do audiences get some teaser footage of the band playing beforehand, but the trailer also shows some of the sketches and electronic diagrams, the creation of familiar Metallica symbols and the fine tuning that is going into making a game that truly rocks.

Stern Pinball Inc., which has been producing quality video games since the 1930s, are putting their expertise on display with "Metallica Pinball." Though the trailer did not reveal an actual release date, the game is "coming soon." Once players are able to step up and pull back the lever on their first ball, they'll be treated to a Metallica soundtrack. 'Creeping Death,' 'For Whom the Bell Tolls,' 'Fuel,' 'Master of Puppets,' 'The Unforgiven,' 'Seek and Destroy,' 'Battery,' 'Sad But True,' 'Enter Sandman,' 'One,' 'Fade to Black' and 'The End of the Line' are all included as part of the gameplay.

The pinball game just adds to what is turning out to be another big year for Metallica. Though they're in the studio and not expecting to release a new album until 2014, the band has agreed to headline select festivals this year, including their own Orion Music + More gathering in Detroit. Plus, a new 3D film is on the way and there's a comprehensive Metallica book coming this fall.
