It's always a pleasant surprise when metal songs make their way into commercials, ready to invade the ears of unsuspecting viewers and raise the fists of those who have been long familiar with the song in play. Metallica's "Fuel" has received plenty of commercial attention over the years and it just received another bump courtesy of the Dodge commercial in the video above.

The advertisement is for Dodge's ferocious new lineup of rubber-peeling cars, the Challenger SRT Hellcat, Charger SRT Hellcat and Viper GTS. The campaign is dubbed 'Predators' and the deep voice narrating the spot describes how "We don't have to worry about predators like our ancestors did. No sabertooth tigers stalking you from the brush, no dire wolves circling the camp, there are no more monsters to fear and so we have to build our own."

"Fuel" kicks in immediately following the narration as one of the cars spins in a circle, revving the engine as smoke billows out of the exhaust. The fleet owns the road, outpacing one another in daring turns and on the open highway. The famed "Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire" lyric closes out the ad after a few seconds of the song plays.

This marks the second time Dodge has used the Metallica classic in one of their commercials. In a winter ad (seen below), the song marked the beginning of the commercial as the manufacturer's vehicles were seen cruising over snowy roads with ease.

This year is looking to be another big one for the thrash titans as they not only continue work on the follow-up to 2008's Death Magnetic, but serve as Record Store Day 2016 ambassadors with special releases planned for the event. On April 15, the day before Record Store Day, they'll be reissuing their first two albums, Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning, with remastered tracks and bonus live material. The following day will see the release of Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, Metallica! - Live at Le Bataclan recorded in Paris, France on June 11, 2003.
