Metallica kicked off their European "By Request" tour last Wednesday night at the Sonisphere Festival in Helsinki, Finland, and it got interesting right out of the chute...

At the show - which also featured Slayer, Mastodon, Ghost, and Gojira - a fan request for "The Frayed Ends of Sanity" (From 1988's "And Justice For All") prompted the band to blow the dust off of the tune and play it for the first time ever live! Thankfully, another fan was quick enough on his or her feet to capture the moment on video, which we share with you now:
