Marilyn Manson will expand his acting resume next month when the shock rocker takes on a role in the hit ABC series, 'Once Upon a Time.' Scoring Manson for the fairytale-come-to-life series seems like a natural fit as Manson has also been attached to 'Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll' based on the 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' author.

According to Rolling Stone, Manson will take on the voice of Shadow, a character who is essential to the plot line of the popular TV show. The Shadow has already made a few appearances this season, but Manson's voice will add an even more sinister edge to a character who is interested in kidnapping and soul stealing.

"We've always been enormous fans of Marilyn Manson," show creators and executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz told Rolling Stone. "We wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl."

Manson's voice will first appear on 'Once Upon a Time' during episodes in November. The rocker has spent the better part of the past year promoting his 2012 album, 'Born Villain.'
