The New Orleans Saints have been pretty active during the NFL's Free Agent period. The team signed free agents Larry Warford, Ted Ginn, Jr, AJ Klien, and Alex Okafor. They've resigned Nick Fairley and Travaris Cadet, and cut Jairus Byrd.

Then the team swung one of the surprise trades of the off-season, by sending Brandin Cooks to the New England Patriots in a package that brought back a set of draft picks, headlined by the Patriots first round pick. But now it sounds like the Saints aren't done with the Patriots. Here's more on this from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"ESPN’s Mike Triplett reports a Saints-Patriots trade for cornerback Malcolm Butler is still in play, but the process of making what would be a complicated could still go either way, according to sources. Butler and the Saints have to first work out a long-term contract."
