Update:

The decision has been made. The LSU South Carolina football game will be moved to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

Original Story:

Devastating flooding in the Columbia, South Carolina area could force a change of venue for the LSU South Carolina football game.

Classes have been canceled for the rest of this week, and there's a real chance the football game will be moved to a different location, according to South Carolina Athletic Director Ray Tanner. A decision as to whether the game will be played at Williams-Brice Stadium likely will take place by noon today.

A possible change in venue could also rob South Carolina of a home-field advantage.

There has been some talk about moving the game to Shreveport at Independence Stadium. But the local stadium doesn't hold the capacity generally required for an SEC contest. Atlanta has been mentioned as a possible alternative site. Tiger stadium in Baton Rouge is also a possibility.
