After leading LSU in scoring by averaging over 17 points a game last season, sophomore Antonio Blakeney has decided to skip his final two years in Baton Rouge, to head into the NBA.

He came to LSU has a highly fought over recruit, after winning Florida's Mr. Basketball Award, and was paired with super-star Ben Simmons for their freshman seasons. However that season fell extremely flat, in history's worst example of one-and-done college basketball. But Blakeney stayed for one more go in the NCAA, but apparently doesn't want to be the veteran in Will Wade's rebuilding process.

Which leaves an interesting scenario for the NBA Draft; Blakeney isn't really on anyone's Draft projections. He's rated by ESPN to be around the 45th best SOPHOMORE in the draft potentials. That's not including freshman and upperclassmen. With only two rounds in the NBA Draft, it's possible that Blakeney could go undrafted.

Here's the original update from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"LSU sophomore guard Antonio Blakeney announced on Twitter Tuesday that he will enter the 2017 NBA draft. The top scorer says he appreciates the opportunity LSU gave him and that leaving is “bittersweet.”
