Hey Scott. Weiland. I know you keep saying that Stone Temple Pilots can't kick you out of the band, and maybe that's true...

But they don't have to invite you to go on tour with them. Or record with them. They can always get another singer to stand in for you. A little tougher for you to get another STP to hop on board with you.

And apparently, STP have played the 'other singer' card, as they hit the stage at KROQ's Weinie Roast this past weekend with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park playing the part of Scott Weiland. And, unbeknownst to most, they already have a song in the can. According to Dean DeLeo of STP in an interview with MTV,

"Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we've admired for a long time," said guitarist Dean DeLeo after the group played a surprise set at KROQ's Weenie Roast over the weekend. "We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. We managed to find the time to record a song and we're all really happy with the result."
