Actor Leonard Nimoy, known to the world as the man responsible for Spock on Star Trek, has passed away at the age of 83.

Nimoy was born in Boston in 1931, and served in the US Military in the 50s. He started as Spock in 1966, where he would go on to star in over 75 episodes. He was nominated for 3 Emmy Awards for the role.
