Sunday, February 20th marks what would have been Kurt Cobain's 44th birthday.  I suggest you spend the day watching the  documentary "Kurt Cobain: About a Son"

The documentary  has been out since 2007 and if you haven't seen it yet you really need to make it a point to do so.  The film is made up of audio interviews with Cobain conducted by Micahel Azerrad for his book, Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana. Directed by AJ Schnack, the film combines the audio of Cobain discussing his life with footage of the Northwestern part of the U.S. where the singer grew up.

This is just a straight up documentary.  They have yet to make a bio pic, kind of like Oliver Stones "The Doors," about Kurt Cobain. Who would you think would be best suited to play Kurt Cobain if they ever get around to making one?

Who knows if you don't find it on DVD, you might be able to watch in TV.
