Jeff Hanneman of Slayer Dead – Rockers Pay Tribute on Twitter
Hanneman played guitar in Slayer, one of metal’s most uncompromising and enduring bands, for over 30 years. As you’ll see below, his influence and friendships reached beyond metal and into the rock world.
Since 2011 Hanneman has been battling a case of necrotizing fasciitis caused by a spider bite which had left him unable to perform onstage with Slayer. He died of liver failure yesterday morning, it is not confirmed that the two health issues are connected.
