Shreveport's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist James Burton resume includes associations with dozens of musical greats: Elvis, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell and Roy Orbison, just to name a few.

But how many of us knew that the legendary Burton made his movie debut in the 1957 not-so-classic, "Carnival Rock"? Here's the one sentence synopsis from the film website IMDB:

"Christy runs a rock and roll nightclub on a carnival pier with his right-hand-man Benny. Christy has a crush on the club's star, Natalie Cook, but she has eyes for Stanley, a local business man, who wants to buy out the club."

Our very own James is in a number of scenes, most notably this one, playing guitar with rock-a-billy pioneer Bob Luman. Burton, then only 17, is just behind Luman's left shoulder.
