Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has become increasingly chummy with the Cardiff Devils hockey team this year. He joined the organization to participate in an act of charity over the weekend, shaving players' heads at a Devils game to raise money for the Brave the Shave project, which can be seen at Wales Online.

Devils player Joshua Batch is seeking to raise £3,000 for cancer and Dickinson was on site to assist in the fundraising as the team's guest of honor, handling a pair of clippers as he buzzed the hair off players David Brine, Bentivoglio, Patrick Asselin as well as Batch. Donations to help with Batch's Brave the Shave goal can be made here.

Earlier this year, the Iron Maiden frontman was presented with his own Devils jersey, which featured his last name across the top on the back and, not surprisingly, was assigned number 666. Dickinson also brought Patrick Bordeleau and Sean Bentivoglio, both members of the Devils, to test out his virtual flight simulator at Dickinson's Cardiff Aviations.

The singer, of course, is no stranger to the cause having defeated cancer in 2015. He was diagnosed with cancerous tumors on the back of his tongue after Iron Maiden wrapped up the recording for last year's The Book of Souls. As he told us in an exclusive interview (seen below), he grew a cancer protest beard during his battle, which fell out completely one day.
