The first time we heard their hit 'I Love It,' it was regrettably in the intro to 'Snookie & JWoww,' and so you'll forgive us for disregarding it. We're glad we took a second listen and look though; turns out these babes are pretty awesome.

Swedish synthpop duo Icona Pop's sound is a mixture of electro house, punk and indie pop. Aino Jawo (age 26) and Caroline Hjelt (age 25) were first noticed in London with their first single, 'Manners,' and were eventually snatched up by TEN Music Group in 2009.

After some successful collaborations and features, they began a 2012 festival tour, playing at the electro music festival Summerburst in Gothenburg, as well as Stockholm Stadium. 'I Love It' was the song that tipped them into stardom, after being featured in 'Need for Speed: Most Wanted,' as well as a Coca Cola commercial in Germany, and of course, the reality tv show whose name we will not mention again.

These feisty ladies are currently on tour with Marina and the Diamonds, a Welsh singer/songwriter. Check their site to see if they're coming to a city near you. In the meantime, check out the video for 'I Love It' (we definitely love it) and some pics below:
