The collective national outrage against the NFL can end.

On Wednesday the NFL put "Harambe" on its list of words that were banned for customized jerseys. After the internet exploded upon site, the NFL revealed that it was all just a big misunderstanding.

Harambe is the name of the gorilla who was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo earlier this year after a 3-year-old boy climbed into his enclosure, and soon after became a popular meme. Major League Baseball put "Harambe" on the banned list after an official with a MLB team feared fans were buying jerseys with the late gorilla's name on the back.

According to Yahoo, Fanatics—an online retailer for all four major sports—put "Harambe" on the banned list for the NFL as a proactive move.

But, after a near meltdown, you can get your custom NFL jersey with "Harambe" on the back again.
