A couple years back, I started to collect my music on vinyl. Not because it was the 'cool thing' that it is now. It was actually difficult at the time. We couldn't find a respectable turntable under $600 that wasn't used, most newer releases didn't consider vinyl releases viable like they do today, and there weren't record stores popping up everywhere. We started our vinyl collection with a used Goodwill turntable and hand-me-down classics.

Now vinyl has exploded. There are new, quality, affordable turntables being mass-produced, and most new releases come with a vinyl in addition to the digital and CD releases. From time to time, I will pull out one of my personal vinyls and showcase it here

Album Title: Opus Eponymous

Release: 2010

Notes: There are MULTIPLE vinyl versions of this album, each with a different color scheme on the actual vinyl. The rarest of this release are in the first printing (of course) and are getting extremely expensive. The initial release featured 300 copies in a Deluxe Boxed Edition, which were solid black, and the shortest print run in their first print. Post-Grammy Award, copies of these have spiked to over $500 each.
