Gorillaz’s Jamie Hewlett has teased footage with Damon Albarn in the studio, hinting at the band’s imminent return.

Hewlett first started getting fans' hopes up at the beginning of 2015 when he shared new images of the virtual band and confirmed the duo's comeback after a four-year hiatus. That summer, Albarn doubled down on the good news, revealing they had plans to head to the studio in September. Most recently, Hewlett said the band would release their long-awaited follow-up to 2011’s The Fall sometime this year. Now, we have some visual evidence the duo are hard at work on their next full-length. Check out Hewlett’s Instagram clips at the bottom of the page.

It's been a busy time for Albarn as of late. Last year, Blur released The Magic Whip, their first album in more than a decade. In December, he said he was also working on a new the Good, the Bad & the Queen album.
