Isn't it enough that Dave Grohl is not only so talented he drummed for one of the most legendary bands of all time, but he now fronts another? No -- he's also probably one of the funniest storytellers you'll ever hear, too.

All of it will be on full display with the Foo Fighters' upcoming HBO documentary series, 'Sonic Highways,' which premieres Oct. 17. The eight-episode series was shot during the creation of the band's upcoming album of the same name, for which the band traveled to eight iconic music cities in the U.S. to record in storied studios with help from local celebrity musicians.

Now we've got our first real sample of the show in a brief sneak peek the Foos posted on their Facebook page. Check it out:

 

The album (the band's eighth) will be released Nov. 10, and the LP version will be available in one of nine different covers, which are all portions of the main album art. When you put them all together, they look a little something like this:
