Sixteen years after calling it quits, Failure have announced an 18 date U.S. tour.

That's right. The Greatest 90's band you've never heard of, is back...thanks in part to a big fan - Maynard J. Keenan of Tool. After incessant harassment from Maynard, Greg Edwards, Ken Andrews and Kelli Scott performed their first show since 1997 at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on February 13, 2014. They followed that successful show up with an opening slot on Tool's Spring tour, and will be on hand for Cinquanta, Maynard’s 50th birthday celebration at The Greek Theatre in L.A.

With all that in mind, the band opted to go one step further and begin the writing and recording process. Singer Ken Andrews told radio.com,

“We got to thinking that a lot of our fans, became our fans recently and a lot of them are younger and they never saw us play live so we have an opportunity to pick up where we left off, musically.”
