ECW Original Axl Rotten Dead at 44

One of the original ECW Hardcore Icons, Brian Knighton aka Axl Rotten has been found dead at the age of 44. According to police, they found Rotten dead in a Baltimore Hotel Room. Details at this time are limited, but Rotten said on Chris Jericho's podcast that since his departure from ECW he fell into heavy drug use and deep depression. I'm sure more details will be coming out soon.

Rotten, who was known in the ECW world as the 'Hardcore Chair Swinging Freak' was best known for extremely bloody and violent wars in ECW. At the height of his popularity, he was a tag partner with Balls Mahoney.
