Rob Zombie began shooting his new horror flick 31 in March. The movie is set on Halloween night in 1975 and stars Malcolm McDowell, Elizabeth Daily and Meg Foster, among others. Fans of the musician will be happy to know that this movie, like some of his previous gore flicks, will be accompanied by a documentary showing the making of the film.

The behind-the-scenes film is being brought to us by Paramount Scope and they recently released some new details about the documentary, one of which is the first still from the picture (seen in the Facebook post below). The studio reports that director Josh Hasty has been working on the documentary for over two months now, going through 500 plus hours of footage to begin creating the film about the film. The documentary will show the making of 31, from pre-production through the end of post and they’ve reported they will continue to shoot footage for the documentary through the end of the Fall, to capture Zombie editing 31.

Hey that's us! Can't wait for the world to see what's coming with this thing!

Right now, IMDB states that 31 will come out sometime in 2016 and we know from Paramount Scope’s post that Zombie will still be editing the flick through the fall of this year. When we know an exact release date for the movie and the documentary, we will let you know. For now, head here to learn more about the horror flick.

While we can't give you a definite date for either of those films, we are positive of one thing. Rob Zombie will be delivering a killer performance at the Loudwire Music Festival. Zombie is scheduled to perform on the last day of the fest, which takes place June 26-28 at the Jam Ranch just outside Grand Junction, Colo. Get your tickets here.
