By now, if you spend any time at all listening to 99X, you're familiar with the band Digital Summer and their songs "Forget You" and "Just Run". You're probably even more familiar with Digital Summer's guitarist Jon Stephenson. Jon is a Shreveport native that honed his chops with local band (Lafayette/Shreveport) Karma Protocol. In fall of 2011, Digital Summer parted ways with their guitarist, and Jon packed his guitar case and moved to Phoenix. Brothers Kyle and Ian Winterstein and bassist Anthony "Guido" Hernandez brought Jon into the fold just in time to help write and record their third album "Breaking Point". Using their own money (and the Kickstarter program) to record and produce the album, the title proved to be a prophecy, as the band have found huge critical and commercial success, with both singles climbing the Rock charts.

If you've missed Jon and Digital Summer on their two stops in Shreveport (at The RIverside Warehouse with Taproot, and Strange Brew with Nonpoint), you might have to wait a bit to catch them live here in Jon's hometown again, as the band have hooked up with Sevendust for some shows - a relationship that could develop into a full blown tour. Catch them with Sevendust at The Station Live in Broussard, LA on March 16th. In the meantime, check out their tour video for the new single, "Dance In The Fire":
