Dave Grohl. Maybe you've heard of him? SInger/drummer/guitarist/songwriter for a couple of decent bands...Nirvana? Foo Fighters? Yeah, that's him. If that weren't enough to put on a resume, now he has to throw 'movie director' in the mix.

Grohl's first foray into moviemaking is 'Sound City', a documentary about the legendary studio where Nirvana's 'Nevermind' and many other groundbreaking albums were recorded. According to the press release for the flick,

The film will showcase the amazing history of the studio, focus on the albums recorded there that went on to change the world, discuss the human element of music in an age of technology, and feature performances from many of the artists that called it "home"

Among the performers featured will be Metallica, Neil Young, Butch Vig, Tom Petty, and Stevie Nicks. Check out the trailer for the movie here:
