Maybe Hole singer Courtney Love should just stay away from Vanity Fair writers.

Love, who in a 1992 VF story apparently gave the impression she used illegal drugs while pregnant, has now raised an entirely different kind of ruckus. When asked recently by the magazine whether she’s still angry about late husband and Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain committing suicide in 1994, Love was candid and specific.

“Mad? Ya think?! If he came back right now I’d have to kill him, for what he did to us,” Love told writer Nancy Jo Sales. “I’d f***ing kill him. I’d f*** him, and then I’d kill him.”

Love also ranted about Frances Bean Cobain, her 19-year-old daughter with Cobain, basically admitting that she was never a serious contender for a Mother of the Year prize.

“I never read to her! … Why didn’t I ever take her to a Broadway show?” Love said. “She f***ing loved those Broadway musicals!”

Vanity Fair’s entire interview with Love is featured in the November issue. It’s available now in New York and Los Angeles, and it hits newsstands nationally — as well as the iPad — on Tuesday (Oct. 11).

There could be even more controversy next fall, when a division of HarperCollins releases Love’s tell-all memoir, which she says will “set the record straight” about her relationship with Cobain.
