Could the XFL Be Making a Comeback?

Many sources, including the Wrestling Observer, are reporting that Vince McMahon is interested in reviving the XFL Football league. In case you've forgotten, Vince created a football league in the early 2000s to challenge the NFL. However, the project ended up being a colossal failure and ended up costing Vince McMahon and NBC millions of dollars.

However, despite the previous failure, it seems like Vince McMahon may be looking to put new life into the XFL. Earlier this year, ESPN ran a '30 for 30' documenting the XFL's history. After the special aired, according to reports, the WWE filed for two trademarks related to the XFL.

Deadspin and other sports sites contacted the WWE about a possible XFL revival.  In response to their questions, they received the response below from the WWE. They were also told, allegedly, that Vince McMahon will be making an announcement regarding Alpha Entertainment on January 28th
