Corey Taylor: Slipknot Are Not Falling Apart
Although Slipknot recently parted ways with drummer Joey Jordison, the band is far from calling it a day. Slipknot fans are about has dedicated as they come, so vocalist Corey Taylor took a moment to put any doubts to rest with a tweet reinforcing the band’s will to continue, even vowing that “great things are coming” in 2014.
On Dec. 12, Slipknot announced that Jordison was no longer in the band. Jordison had been focusing on new project Scar the Martyr for most of 2013, but the drummer’s exit from Slipknot was truly shocking news that nobody saw coming. “It is our love for all of you, as well as for the music we create, that spurs us to continue on and move forward with our plans for releasing new material in the next year,” Slipknot released in a statement. “We hope that all of you will come to understand this, and we appreciate your continued support while we plan the next phase of the future of Slipknot.”
Slipknot haven’t hinted at a break-up since Jordison’s departure, but Corey Taylor helped ease the minds of his fans with the following tweet over the weekend:
For those who think The Knot are falling apart, you are greatly and sadly mistaken. Bring On 2014. Great Things Are Coming. Stay Tuned…
