Generally speaking, we have 50+ concerts a year at the Warehouse and naturally some are better than others. But Friday night was something special, something different. Not only was Trivium particularly spectacular, but the crowd made that one of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

I'll be honest, when we announced Trivium was coming to the Warehouse I was a bit nervous. We already had a calendar full of amazing shows and I was afraid that this one was just going to get lost in the shuffle. But, in true 99x fashion, you guys did not disappoint.

At 6:30, the sidewalk began to fill with amped up rockers ready to party. At one point the line stretched damn near a block with folks trying to get in. I knew right then and there that this was going to be a great night.

Usually during these shows, folks will chill indifferently at the bar while the opening bands play, but that wasn't the case on Friday. From the first note from the first band till the last pounding chord from Trivium, the crowd was going nuts. I don't I've ever seen a Shreveport crowd so hyped for such a long time.

And, like I mentioned earlier, Trivium was just phenomenal. Those dudes put on the best concert of 2016 so far. It was a high energy set from start to finish. At the end of the night, people always stop by to tell me thanks for bringing amazing bands into town. But, I don't think I've ever had as many people stop to thank me as I did on Friday.

Which, I think has less to do with me and 99x and way more to do with Trivium living up to the hype and just straight melting faces for an hour and a half with no breather. What I know for certain is that I can't pay you guys or Trivium enough compliments. It was a special night for sure. If every band and every crowd was that awesome, the rock scene in Shreveport would be unstoppable.
