CHRIS CORNELL GOES UNPLUGGED ON HOWARD STERN [AUDIO]
After a short reunion tour earlier this year, and a few scattered one-off shows, Soundgarden finally delivered the news we’ve been waiting for – Yes, they are recording a new studio album that should, in theory, drop sometime early next year.
In the meantime, Chris Cornell is keeping his pipes warm with a acoustic tour that will be highlighted with the release of “Songbook”, his latest solo effort, tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/22). “Songbook” features Cornell doing his own songs, as well as a few covers – including Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You” and John Lennon’s “Imagine.” To celebrate the release, Cornell is playing a show tomorrow at Carnegie Hall. Damn, what I wouldn’t give for a ticket to that show.
Ok, so we can’t make it to the show, but we can hear a little of what we’re going to miss. Chris dropped in on the Howard Stern Show last week and played a couple of tunes live in the studio. You’re welcome.

And and one of my favorite Zeppelin tunes, THANK YOU
