To celebrate the release of "Lightning Bolt", the new album from Pearl Jam, it's Pearl Jam week on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' - with the band and their music featured all week on the late night talk show.

Pearl Jam week opened last night with Soundgarden frontman and Pearl Jam com-padre Chris Cornell covering "Footsteps", the flip-side of the "Jeremy" single, and a song that was included on the "Lost Dogs" compilation from Pearl Jam.  Check out the performance here:

While he was on the show, Cornell took a few minutes to talk about the Seattle music scene that spawned Pearl Jam, his relationship with the band, the Temple of the Dog project and more. Hear what he had to say here:

Pearl Jam week continues tonite with a performance from Fleet Foxes’ frontman Robin Pecknold, with Dierks Bentley, Pearl Jam’s guitarist Mike McCready and The Roots performing on Wednesday, and Pearl Jam doing the honors themselves on Thursday and Friday.
