After the E.P. that Stone Temple Pilots released with Chester Bennington last year produced the chart topping "Out of Time", music fans were wondering what was up with the "Supergroup".

Now we know. If tweets from STP bassist Robert DeLeo can be trusted (and he wouldn't taunt us like that, would he?), the band are in the studio with Chester right now,

"Spending the week writing new STP material… and having a blast."

After STP came off the road last year, Chester hit the studio with Linkin Park, and as of late, has been on the road pimping the new LP album "The Hunting Party - arguably the bands best work since "Hybrid Theory" - and we've been up in the in regard to any work with the DeLeo brothers. But, obviously, Chester has a few days off, because as Robert told Pulse of Radio,

“Chester's main concern definitely is Linkin Park. When he's busy with them it offers Dean and Eric and myself some time to really get some new music together. When he's available, that's when we work, and we make the best of that time.”

No word yet, but hopefully that time will result in some new music soon, We'll keep you posted...
