I love comic books. I love major publisher books, big independent books, and little independent books. For me, Kickstarter has been a massive blessing for people who have always wanted to have a chance in the industry, who were never given a chance.

It's always exciting to see local artists and writers take their chance to fulfill their dreams. The only thing more exciting is to see them reach their Kickstarter goals, and to develop their books into finished products.

It just so happens that a Sherveport based Kickstarter comic is open right now. The book is called Satellites Volume 1. Its a comic anthology featuring 9 artists and their stories.

They've actually already met their goal, but with Kickstarter they're able to continue to increase their total as high as you're willing to take it. You will can score some REALLY sweet items in their incentive lists: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/714698348/satellites-vol-1-a-comic-anthology
