Hurricane Irene Aftermath — At Least 44 Dead and Millions Without Power [VIDEO]
Cleanup efforts have begun in communities that were devastated by Hurricane Irene over the weekend. Although trucks and supplies from the Federal Emergency Management Agency are en route, access to some areas has been cut off by floodwaters that washed out or damaged roads and bridges.
“Irene was gonna land somewhere. We’re not Manhattan, our small streams quickly became big rivers,” Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin told The Brattleboro (Vt.) Reformer. “We’ve lost churches, homes and historic bridges. But we will rebuild.”

Streaker Flashes a Live Weather Channel Broadcast
The Weather Channel has never really needed a delay button before, but it may want to look into getting one now.

Here is the footage from the shoot, which pretty much sums up the essence of the East Coast earthquake — a brief rush of fear followed by the baffling realization that you just experienced an earthquake.

Mt. Etna in Italy Blows Smoke Rings [VIDEO]
One of the most seen images this week were from Italy where Mt. Etna was literally blowing smoke rings! Apparently, smoke rings are extremely rare and have only been documented three times. And what's even more weird is that this is the third time Mt. Etna has blown smoke rings. The last two times were in 1970 and 2000. The only other occurance on record happened in Iceland last year from Eyjafjallajokull. The BBC has more on this natural phenomena here.
