We've wrapped up Animania from 2nd & Charles in Bossier City, and it was quiet at weekend. Day 2 was full of card tournaments, more cosplay, new art vendors, comic book purchases, and of course the huge Super Smash Brothers video game tournament. ...

Geek'd Con, Shreveport's ONLY Comic Con has announced their first guest for 2016! It's Legendary Comic Book Artist...

There might be writers more talented than Garth Ennis, but none are as bafflingly talented as Garth Ennis. Nobody else has such an immense capacity for complex human drama hidden beneath a surface so utterly drenched with puke jokes. An unabashed lover of scatological humor, extreme violence, and vicious satire, the Northern Ireland-born writer, born 46 years ago tomorrow on January 16 1970, is something of an acquired taste. One might even go so far as to call him polarizing. For everyone who dismisses Ennis as juvenile, vulgar, and vile, you'll find at least one more who will tell you that Garth Ennis is a special kind of brilliant.

One year ago, DC Collectibles opened its "vault" of unproduced prototypes in celebration of hitting a social media milestone. Included therein were figures based on DC Universe Online, statues for Ame-Comi Mary Marvel and a Black Manta bust, among others. Instead of leaving all of these first-party collectibles locked away forever inside the archives, DC Collectibles asked fans to vote for which item they'd like to see finally be produced. Then there was silence... until today when the dull winter sky was broken by a glorious rainbow in the shape of Batman. Yes, that's right; the Sheldon Moldoff-inspired Rainbow Batmen are coming and there's nothing you can do to stop it now. You had your chance to vote for 3.75" New 52 figures, and you blew it. Unless you voted for these, in which case, congratulations, all of your dreams are coming true in amazing technicolor fashion!

One of the highlights of Geek'd Con for me, was the chance to talk to Jeremy London, the star of Kevin Smith's cult classic Mallrats. Mallrats is one of my favorite movies and I was pumped to talk to Jeremy about the original film and the up coming sequel...
