Last night, Digital Summer took down Dark New Day to earn their spot in the majestic Rock Cock Hall of Fame, which is pretty awesome. Be listening for their tune 'Dance in the Fire' here on 99X.

Megadeth are hitting the home stretch on their latest album. In a picture posting on the band's Facebook page, it was revealed that Dave Mustaine and drummer Shawn Drover were finishing up tracking on the ten songs for their upcoming album, with another song set to wrap things up that evening. The photo (seen above) shows Mustaine and Drover in the studio together. With the album near completion, Mustaine offered a few more details in a video interview with VintageRock.com at the NAMM Convention.
Dave Grohl has only lined up a few shows with his all-star side band the Sound City Players, but he has big plans for the project: he wants to take it on tour around the globe. "We plan to do shows all over the world," the Foo Fighters frontman tells Billboard of the group, which includes the likes of John Fogerty, Rick Springfield, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. Grohl assembled the band to help promote his new 'Sound City' movie.
