April 16, 2013 Shreveport's favorite Whiskey drinking,Gypsy Punk Country Grumble boogie woogie band, Dirtfoot is back in the studio working on their 3rd album. They have been working feverishly at Blade Studios trying to get this thing out. With that being said, they need a little help from their friends.
Phil Anselmo has fronted some of metal's best-known bands, but he's ready to step out on his own. The Pantera / Down / Superjoint Ritual frontman has announced that his first solo album, 'Walk Through Exits Only,' is now on schedule for a July 16 release date.
Their truncated 2012 tour didn't offer much for American fans, but with a new album around the corner and a freshly sober frontman, the guys in Black Sabbath have raised the curtain on a handful of 2013 dates that will bring the band to select American cities.
The rock world was saddened over the weekend to hear the news that Deftones bassist Chi Cheng had passed away. The musician died after spending four years in either a coma or semi-conscious state as the result of a devastating 2008 car accident. After reactions and condolences from many in the rock community, the first official statement from Deftones themselves came today via a message from the band's guitarist Stephen Carpenter.
