Best Of Shreveport

This coming Saturday night in Shreveport, you can feast your eyes upon many stars. No, I'm not talking about a movie shoot or celebrity party, I'm talking about the objects in the sky.

I LOVE my home town and the people in it, but there are a few things that Shreveporters/Bossierites do that just rub me the wrong way.

Chris Lyon has started a petition to send to our city council with the goal of giving young adults in our community more to do. A petition that encourages our city to allow 18+ into local bars and nightclubs.

Shreveport has a long diverse history of music. From Leadbelly to The Louisiana Hayride, Shreveport has been the home of some of the most important musical influences in the 20th century and beyond.

For a good portion of my adult life, I have lived in Shreveport's Highland Neighborhood. It's centrally located, the rent is reasonable, and it's filled with some of the most beautiful architecture and most diverse people in the city.
