A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. So what’s a new mp3 from Bush worth?

Fortunately, you don’t have to answer that question, because the band is giving away their new single, ‘All My Life,’ for free. The track, due for inclusion on the band’s upcoming album ‘The Sea of Memories,’ is being offered at the Electronic Arts website for free download.

Why EA, you ask? The partnership came about because another track from the album – which will be made available for free download on July 25 – is being featured on EA Sports’ ‘NHL 12.’ An unusual tie-in, perhaps, but when your band has been away for the better part of a decade, you’ve got to try and make a splash.

In the press release accompanying the announcement, the band said, “We are very excited about music from our forthcoming album, ‘The Sea Of Memories’, being featured in EA’s NHL 12. Our first album in a long time comes out this September and we hope you enjoy this first sample, ‘All My Life’.”

Bush’s first three albums – 1994′s ‘Sixteen Stone,’ 1996′s ‘Razorblade Suitcase,’ and 1999′s ‘The Science of Things’ – sold a combined 10 million copies in the U.S. ‘The Sea of Memories’ will mark their first release since 2001′s ‘Golden State.’
