5 Wacky Condoms That Won’t Be Considered For The Gates Foundation ‘Next Generation Condom’ Grant
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced this week that they will award a $100,000 grant to anyone who can create the “next generation condom.”
When used correctly male condoms are effective, inexpensive, and easy to use. Unfortunately, they still have a stigma associated with them, mainly that they reduce sensitivity, and thus sexual pleasure. To combat this stigma, the Gates Initiative is asking participants to create a new condom which preserves or even enhances sexual pleasure, in order to encourage more people around the world to use them regularly. This is good news for everyone!
Over the years many efforts have been made to improve the condom; below are a few of the wackier attempts that have been made, which we’re pretty sure the Gates Foundation will not be considering.
Spray on Condom
There's good news for all those guys out there that are either too big, too small or...too weird for the standard condom - a German inventor has created the spray on condom. Simply spray the aerosol-propelled liquid latex onto your erect member, and within a few seconds the liquid solidifies to form a tight seal. While the product is effective as a form of birth control, we doubt that the act of spraying on your condom would really set the mood for romance.
When she lovingly asks, "Is that a .44 in your pocket or are you just glad to see me," you can now say, "Both!" and then whip out the Gun Condom. Keep in mind that it is a single shot weapon, so choose your target wisely and you'll look cooler than James Bond while you're doing it.
Condometric claims it is the first prophylactic that measures and shows off penis length. The condoms have tape measure type markings on them that accurately measure length. Problem is, that could be good or bad, depending on your genetic luck. Whether you are a grower or a shower though, you will certainly know how you measure up. And so will she.
Dick's Formalwear (yep, that's the actual name) produces condoms that have a tuxedo pattern printed directly on them. After all, there are times when you want to look your best, so why not let your little buddy be dashing as well.
Louis Vuitton Condom
Luxury designer Louis Vuitton released a condom with their trademark pattern, for the discerning gentleman. Like LV's other luxury items, this product comes with a hefty price tag of $68 bucks per prophylactic. Trust us fellas, this is definitely not what she meant when she asked for a Louis Vuitton bag.
