It's no secret. I'm a HUGE fan of the Stieg Larsson Millennium Trilogy - 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', 'The Girl That Played With Fire' and 'The Girl That Kicked the Hornet's Nest'. As I've said before, the European film version's of the books sucked beyond all comprehension. But, if the trailer is any indication, the new Hollywood version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" with Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara will kick nine kinds of ass. With the bonus of a Trent Reznor soundtrack.
KORN have been dropping bits and pieces of their upcoming album 'The Path of Totality' for a couple of months now ('Get Up' and 'Narcissistic Cannibal'), and with the release of the disc only a week away, they've decided to give us an early Christmas present. ‘The Path of Totality’ is now streaming in its entirety FOR FREE in advance of its release next Tuesday (December 6th).

Today’s Ridiculous lawsuit comes courtesy of one Steve Frye. What?!?! Did another dumbass spill coffee on his lap? Mad because Wal-Mart ran out of $50 Blu-Ray players on Black Friday? No...this douche is upset that attractive women get into the Playboy Mansion for free while men do not.
I don't watch TV much - aside from a select few favorite series (Dexter, Justified, Flight of the Concords) and football - there's just nothing there for me. As little as I watch, I've still managed to see several successful (or formerly successful) artists allow their music to be used to pimp products (Led Zep, Lenny Kravitz, and Wilco come to mind). I get it...people are stealing your music online now, you have to make a buck somehow.
Although he's back to melting faces with the reunited Soundgarden, one of Chris Cornell's not-so-guilty pleasures has been playing acoustic shows.
Earlier this year, Cornell went out on tour to bring that acoustic experience to fans, playing a mix of solo material, Soundgarden and Audioslave tracks, and assorted covers.

After a short reunion tour earlier this year, and a few scattered one-off shows, Soundgarden finally delivered the news we've been waiting for - Yes, they are recording a new studio album that should, in theory, drop sometime early next year.
Sevendust fans, mark December 10th on your calendars. That night, Sevendust will be streaming their show at the Rave in Milwaukee live via the internet.
Anything worth doing, is worth doing twice, right?
At the Foo Fighters Madison Square Garden show Sunday night, Dave Grohl and Company brought out several special guests...but, the house went bat#&*@ crazy when the Foos brought out Joan Jett to perform “Bad Reputation”.
I've read all three Millennium books (Stieg Larsson's 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', 'The Girl Who Played With Fire', and 'The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest'), and they were all phenomenal! I've seen the European versions of the movies, and they were all mediocre.
Recent converts to the Red Hot Chili Peppers probably can't make the connection between the Chili Peppers and early L.A. punks bands like Black Flag, the Leaving Trains, and Red Kross - but that connection is there.
