AG Jeff Landry Says He Expects Crime to Keep Going Up

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry says he expects crime numbers to keep going up across the state. Landry tells KEEL News letting more prisoners out of jail won't help.

Landry also tells us he was extremely disappointed in the Governor for appointing a panel to discuss criminal justice reform and he was not invited to the table. Landry says opening up the jails will only cause our problems to get worse.

Landry also talked to KEEL News about his friend and colleague Congressman Steve Scalise who was shot last month while practicing baseball with his Congressional teammates. Landry says he has been getting texts from Steve and he urges all residents to continue to pray for him.
