A Man Had to Be Rescued From a Cliff Right After a Marriage Proposal

Proposals are pretty important. When you're proposed to or are proposing, you know that it will be a moment that you'll remember for the rest of your life. People put a lot of effort and plans into their proposals, too. But no amount of planning could keep Michael Banks out of jail because of something that happened during his proposal to his girlfriend.

Michael attempted to propose to his girlfriend via FaceTime while climbing the 600 foot tall Morro Rock in California. When he got stuck, the fire department had to rescue him via helicopter. Things went from bad to worse when officers suspected him of being under the influence and he got arrested for drug possession.

His girlfriend still said yes, though. And now they can look forward to paying off that helicopter rescue bill together (after he gets out of jail.)
