A terrible story surrounding the McNeese State Football Program continues to grow.

There are still questions surrounding the death of former McNeese State defensive back Aaron Javone Sam, who was shot and killed during a home invasion earlier this month. Sam was an All-Southland Conference selection in 2014 while with the Cowboys program.

While authorities are piecing together the crime, their scope is widening to other former McNeese State players, one of which is now under arrest. Here are the details from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Former McNeese State Quarterback, 23-year-old Daniel Sams of Lake Charles, becomes the 4th person to be arrested in connection with the murder of former McNeese defensive back Aaron Javone Sam. The group is suspected of all being a part of a home invasion on August 12th. Sams faces charges of accessory after the fact to the charges."
