Calling all Bohabs! Intergalactic overlords and perennial Scumdogs of the universe GWAR have announced they will once again be hosting the annual GWAR-B-Q, now entering its seventh installment. The festivities will be spread across two days with the B4BQ pre-fest barbecue taking place on Aug. 19 and the show the following day on Aug. 20 in the band's Earthly hometown of Richmond, Va. where there will be violence, bloodshed, meat, plenty of metal and... raffles!

GWAR have released a news video (seen below) with an official report on this year's GWAR-B-Q and even interviewed the Grill Ghoul, the event's mascot for the weekend. Though he was never able to get any of his answers in, he saws off the reporter's face and takes the microphone into his own hands to deliver the news himself! The B4BQ will be held at the National in Richmond on Aug. 19 and the following day will see the official GWAR-B-Q commence at Hadad's Lake.

Though the lineup has yet to be announced, fans can hedge their bets that the GWAR-B-Q will strike gold again, finding a balance between big name acts and a slew of Richmond locals as the band has always kept a watchful eye over their local scene. Last year's B4BQ started the party early with bands like Arch Enemy, the Acacia Strain, Fear Factory, Cattle Decapitation, Obscura. The next day saw even more hit the stage, including Clutch, Down, Ringworm, Ghoul, Goatwhore, Cancer Bats, Cro-Mags, Mutoid Man and others.

More information will be made available soon, promised GWAR. Stay up to date at the GWAR-B-Q website and check back for updates from Loudwire.
