It was a dark day for strip clubs in the French Quarter today in New Orleans.

Five different strip clubs had their liquor licences suspended after a multi-department investigation found varies illegal activities taking place at all of the bars. Charges range from prostitution to drug trafficking, all taking place in front of undercover agents. It was an sting named (fittingly) Operation: Trick or Treat.

The ATF, Louisiana State Police, and other agencies teamed up for this crackdown, and have said up to seven more bars could face the same penalty in the next few weeks.

Hearings will be held to decide whether or not the bars can regain their liquor licences, but if the allegations are true, it's hard to imagine they'd earn them back.

So I'm sure most of you want to know, what were the bars? Good news for you, we have the names:

  • Centerfolds on Bourbon St
  • Chez Joey on Iberville St
  • Dixie Divas on Iberville St
  • Lipstixx on Bourbon St
  • Scores New Orleans on Bourbon St
